Although better placed to develop economically and socially as a result of opening our international airport in 2017, we are not at the stage of self-sufficiency and therefore remain dependent on UK government aid.
There are four schools on the island; one secondary and three primaries.
The curriculum broadly models the English education system.The St Helena Government's (SHG) Education, Skills and Employment (ESE) Portfolio has recently embarked on an all-encompassing review of education provision for early years to post 16 and its skills provision.Preliminary findings and options for implementation have been developed and the role of SR&ERPM will be to develop and thereafter manage the implementation of a coherent programme of actionable work streams to deliver these options.
This project is time critical and the ability to deliver at pace will be necessary.You will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology or related field and at least 2 years' experience in an Organisational Change Management role to include proven experience in leading significant education change efforts.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role as you would be expected to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.In addition, you must demonstrate our core values of fairness, integrity and teamwork and use your diverse expertise and experiences to ensure your time on the Island has the broadest benefit to St Helena.
