A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.This merit list/pool may be used to fill other vacancies in Campbell.The RoleThe Assistant Director Enterprise Web works across all streams of effort within the Enterprise Web Directorate to deliver web projects, services, and governance for stakeholders. Their objective is to ensure quality user experiences and build organisational capability within Defence.The Assistant Director also works closely with content owners distributed across Defence, providing advice on audience engagement and steering the development and delivery of web solutions. They will have the ability to understand audience needs and business objectives, prioritising operational activities to deliver fit-for-purpose web experiences.The Assistant Director will use their expertise to harness opportunities to improve the experiences of Defence web audiences, both internal and external. They will contribute their technical, design, and business knowledge to the continuous improvement of the enterprise web environment, guiding the efficient and effective delivery of web projects.About our TeamEnterprise Web is in the Enterprise Transformation Branch in the Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division.Enterprise Web is a team of web experts, including web developers, web content and audience engagement strategists, web content publishers, and training providers. The team works collaboratively, with a mindset of continuous improvement and sustainability, to optimise the user experience of Defence websites and support the efficient delivery of web communication.Our Ideal CandidateThe Assistant Director will be a confident leader of people, capable of managing difficulties, celebrating successes, and building a culture of inclusion and respect within their team.They will have extensive experience designing and building solutions in the Drupal content management system, a commitment to web standards, the ability to develop information architecture and produce content, and experience with wireframing and prototyping digital solutions.The Assistant Director will be responsible for audience and admin data analysis to provide evidence-based insights and recommendations regarding content performance, search engine optimisation, quality assurance, and standards compliance.They provide strategic and operational leadership related to the governance and efficient management of the immense Defence enterprise web environment, including the monitoring of the Defence Web Policy and web training programs.Security ClearanceApplicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Baseline Vetting” level.RecruitAbilityRecruitAbility applies to this vacancy.
