The purpose of this role is to develop and implement Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Management processes to establish and maintain a safe workplace.What you'll doDevelop and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with local and state legislationPromote and ensure companywide HSE policy compliance to assist in the achievement of corporate objectivesIdentify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practicesProvide coaching, advice, and assistance to line managers and employees on HSE policies, processes, issues, and initiativesEnsure that all hazardous activities are analysed and the required preventative measures are implementedPerform safety audits and inspections and prepare written reports and recommendations for corrective or preventative actions and ensure completionProvide training and assist with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment for modified or new plant equipmentAssist with contractor management, inductions, and work permitsInvestigate and report on accidents, incidents, hazards, and risksCompile, interpret, and maintain OHS reporting and statisticsCoordinate Dangerous Goods and monitor compliance with safety requirementsWhat you'll bringFormal training in OHS&E (highly desirable)Certificate IV in Workplace Training and AssessmentRTW accreditation (highly desirable)Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing OHS&E policies and practicesSound experience in OHS&E Risk ManagementWorking knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and standards, common law, and industry codes of practiceExcellent communication and leadership capabilitiesSelf-motivated and displays initiativeWhat's on offerAt Carbon Revolution, we believe in fair, market competitive, and performance-based pay.
