SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Description:
The SEN school, based in Leeds, provides a full SEN provision for children aged 4 to 16 in various settings. They follow the curriculum, with a focus on sensory play. The ideal candidate has a creative and empathetic nature, strong knowledge of children's development, and experience working with children with learning difficulties, disabilities, and special educational needs.
This is a permanent, full-time contract starting in September.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children with a range of SEN, working closely with teachers and professionals.
* Assist in developing tailored support plans to help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Requirements:
* Passion for working with children.
* Experience working with children, preferably with SEN experience.
* Patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to individual student needs.
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
* Right to Work in the UK.
* Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one.
* Two professional references.
