The Company
Resourceful Recruitment is excited to partner exclusively with Sunrice a major player in the food manufacturing sector to recruit a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer. Renowned for its global presence Sunrice operates across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the US, and Vietnam. As a key part of their engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical and automation projects, supporting various operational facilities from rural storage sites to manufacturing plants.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical and automation projects across multiple regions and facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory electrical requirements, selecting optimal solutions for electrical systems, and acting as the company representative on engineering projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, driving automation and electrical safety enhancements across an expansive and dynamic global business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of electrical and automation projects across multiple global regions (AU, PNG, Vietnam, US, NZ).
* Serve as the company's authorized representative for electrical systems and statutory regulations.
* Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to select and implement electrical/automation solutions.
* Conduct feasibility studies, prepare project estimates, and manage the tender process to optimize project outcomes.
* Ensure that all projects comply with statutory electrical regulations and safety standards.
* Provide technical support to internal teams, helping to build capabilities in managing electrical and control systems.
* Work closely with the Group HSE team to incorporate safety measures across the business.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in electrical engineering and control systems, preferably within a manufacturing or similar environment.
* Extensive experience with PLC systems including Citect, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE.
* Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and statutory requirements.
* Proven experience in managing electrical equipment tenders and commissioning electrical systems in brownfield environments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working with multidisciplinary teams.
