Seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Officer with practical hands-on skills, to be a part of a team making a difference to the lives of young people. You will ensure the school facilities are not only functional but inviting and safe for everyone.
Great interpersonal skills will be invaluable as you collaborate with team members and coordinate contractors, promoting a positive culture and professionalism. A well-maintained, welcoming environment supports smooth operations, boosts productivity, and uplifts morale.
Responsibilities
As Facilities Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the daily management and smooth operation of building infrastructure, handling administrative duties and occasionally overseeing maintenance tasks.
* Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities for all facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
* Perform regular inspections of facilities, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
* Assisting the Property and Fleet Manager in carrying out both reactive and preventive maintenance tasks, including electrical equipment testing and tagging.
* Provide flexible support for fleet needs, including bus registrations, vehicle maintenance, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and contractors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
* Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance, repairs, and service histories.
Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
* Knowledge of construction maintenance and/or building services, which may include electrical or mechanical systems, risk management, WHS requirements, and building industry regulations.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills to handle various tasks efficiently.
* Familiarity with building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
* Maintain a positive attitude and a proactive approach to assisting others, helping to create a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
