As our Employee Relations Advisor, you will have the opportunity to shape a positive employee experience and contribute to the success of Adairs. Through fostering a positive culture, you will be providing expert guidance employment legislation, workplace conflict resolution, and employee engagement strategies. You will add significant value through; Providing advice and support to managers and employees on a range of ER issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, workplace conflict, and performance management. Lead thorough and unbiased investigations into employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to company policies. Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues, ensuring all concerns are handled fairly and in accordance with legislation. Keep up-to-date with changes in employment law and best practices, ensuring the company’s policies and procedures are current and legally compliant. Review, develop, and implement employee policies to ensure compliance with employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards. Assist in the design and delivery of training programs on ER topics for managers and employees to increase capability. Provide coaching and support to managers in handling difficult conversations and improving team dynamics. Prepare regular reports on ER activities, including trends in employee grievances, absenteeism, turnover, and performance management. Use data to identify patterns and recommend proactive solutions to improve employee engagement and reduce workplace issues. Support managers with the performance review process, providing guidance on setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and managing underperformance. Experience in conduction workplace investigations Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills Demonstrated success in developing people centric policies and procedures Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex issues with discretion. Conflict resolution and mediation experience. Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
