Full time, continuing role as Professor in Arts or Education, with a three (3) year leadership assignment as Deputy Dean, at our North Sydney, Strathfield, Melbourne or Brisbane campus with some hybrid flexibility About The RoleThe Deputy Dean will provide high level, strategic academic leadership in the faculty by effectively coordinating and communicating strategic planning initiatives, developing and implementing projects of strategic priority and managing associated budgets. With a focus on strategic operations, the Deputy Dean will work to ensure quality and the effective governance and resourcing of academic programs and international and community engagement activities, while promoting the development of faculty activities within and beyond the university to advance the faculty's national and international standing. It is expected that the Deputy Dean will provide strong leadership in the faculty planning process and actively engage in international activities to identify market opportunities. In addition to planning, evaluating and reporting on faculty academic programs and other key priorities and targets, the appointee will be encouraged to maintain their own scholarship and professional work in a relevant faculty discipline.As a member of the Faculty Executive, the Deputy Dean must also have vision and the capacity to strategically develop and promote the faculty in alignment with the university's Mission and Strategic plans. Total remuneration valued to $252,935 - $252,935 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $214,711 - $214,711 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 2.8% increase will be effective from the beginning of the last full pay period before 30 June 2025. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
