The Role:
The Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy assist with the daily functioning of Physiotherapy Services across the Southern Region of Tasmania and will exercise initiative and independent judgement in undertaking daily tasks, under the direct and/or indirect supervision from physiotherapists, including assisting therapists in the implementation of rehabilitation programs, the preparation of equipment for use in treatment, and other related tasks.
You will need to
* Implement the prescribed treatment of patients, evaluate patient progress, communicate treatment outcomes to the physiotherapist and, where necessary, document the patient’s medical progress notes.
* Assist physiotherapists and other allied health assistants with preparation for, and treatment of, patients. This includes transportation of patients to and from treatment areas, and in the provision of home-based services, as required.
* Construct, repair, deliver or adjust patient aids as directed by the physiotherapist.

Details of appointment: Health Services Officer, Level 5
Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
