Job Description
A proudly Australian-owned and operated company in the infrastructure and construction industry is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to build and nurture relationships across renewable energy developers, utilities, government bodies, and commercial/industrial clients. Having experienced significant growth in recent years, the business is now focused on continuing its year-on-year expansion.
The Head of Sales is a senior leadership position designed to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence within the energy transition sector. This pivotal role will be crucial in shaping the company’s commercial strategy and requires a leader with deep expertise in energy infrastructure and renewable energy markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, with a focus on high-priority market segments such as renewable energy developers, utilities, and other key sectors.
2. Lead the sales team to deliver innovative solutions, drive growth in existing market segments, and identify new business opportunities.
3. Identify and capitalize on opportunities in renewable energy integration, energy storage, grid modernization, and digital industry.
4. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
5. Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and sales performance analysis, ensuring targets are met.
6. Mentor, inspire, and guide the sales team, setting clear performance goals and monitoring KPIs.
7. Manage the sales pipeline within the CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. At least 5 years of experience in sales leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in the energy, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors.
2. A proven track record in developing market segments and securing multimillion-dollar contracts.
3. Highly motivated, self-starting, and passionate about business development in competitive and dynamic environments.
4. Strong sales management experience, with the ability to lead teams and drive results.
5. Exceptional strategic thinking and relationship-building skills.
