The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Legal Secretary to join a high-performing General Insurance team in the firm's Sydney office.
This role offers a varied workload, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Principals and the legal team, gaining valuable experience and mentorship to support your professional development.
Key duties include:
* Assisting fee earners with workflow management, including preparing WIP reports, pre-bills, and working with the finance team on monthly billing cycles.
* Managing client service relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Opening new matters, conducting conflict checks, and maintaining up-to-date electronic filing systems.
* Drafting and amending legal correspondence and documents.
* Preparing briefs and assisting with monthly reporting processes.
* Providing support with overflow tasks and administrative needs.
The Candidate The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a legal administration role and demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to work.
Key qualifications and skills include:
* Completion of Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
* Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
