GRDC invests in research, development and extension (RD&E) for the enduring profitability of Australian grain growers.Role Manage the professional delivery of Grower Extension activities within a GRDC region, while contributing as required to national extension programs.Responsible for liaising, engaging, facilitating, promoting and informing growers and advisers and relevant industry stakeholders on specific GRDC extension events and activities which will have an impact on grower profit.Develop and maintain relationships with key extension providers and work with regional communication activities to encourage grower participation at regional extension events and activities aimed at improving grower and adviser engagement and uptake of new practices and technologies.Develop RD&E investment proposals and accompanying business cases that identify and propose responses to grain grower's constraints and opportunities.Enact and actively manage GRDC RDE investments according to agreed process and timelines.Collaborate with the GRDC communications team to promote Grower extension events and activities.Candidate Profile: Demonstrated minimum 5 years sound knowledge of related industry experience in an agricultural Account Management role or agronomy advising/extension role or R&D field particularly in delivery of research outputs or other products in a competitive environment.Highly developed facilitation, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to influence, motivate and develop others.Demonstrated experience or ability to work with grain growers and their advisers, and an understanding of farming systems in the region.Demonstrated experience in project negotiation, facilitation and management of contracts involving commercial, private and public sector partners in a relevant industry.Demonstrated ability to develop sound investment business cases based on return to growers, acknowledging that the path to market may involve commercially orientated stakeholders.Proven understanding of commercial principles including finance, brand management, IP management, licensing and agreement development.Strong analytical skills and the capacity to leverage off external expertise and think strategically.An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.Degree in Science, Agricultural Science, Event Management, Community Consultation or equivalent.Mandatory Requirements: Must be prepared to travel as and when required.Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks.Must have a valid Australian Driver's Licence as deemed necessary.Please apply with your CV and cover letter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
