Practice Information:This practice is a mixed billing primary healthcare practice dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of the Central Highlands' communities by providing high quality patient focused medical care that is accessible and affordable. Pathology and Pharmacy services are co-located on site. The practice has a large patient base, and the successful applicant will step into a busy patient load. Medical training is a core aspect, with the practice supporting a number of registrars each year, and having regular interns, medical and nursing students completing placements in the clinic. Position Description:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Practitioner to take the next step and expand their skills by moving into a clinical leadership role as this practice's Lead GP. As well as maintaining your own patient load you will: Provide clinical guidance and leadership to our doctors. Conduct teaching, mentor and supervise our registrars, interns and medical students. Drive our accreditation and practice quality improvement processes. Recruit and orientate new clinical staff. Build strong relationships with external providers. Provide strong clinical governance to ensure a high standard of medical care is maintained. Provide mentoring, education and support to the medical workforce. Provide much needed appointments to the community by stepping into a busy and fully booked GP clinic. Qualifications & Experience:Requirements for the role include: Fellowship with either RACGP, ACRRM or equivalent. Current AHPRA Registration. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in general practice. Experience leading a clinical team is highly desirable. Accreditation as a GP Registrar Supervisor (ACRRM and RACGP). Ability to work in Australia. Sponsorship may be available to the right candidate.
