We are looking for up to 6 User Researchers for an initial 12 MONTH CONTRACT .
These roles can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide.

T-shaped Skillset : Deep expertise in one of our HCD user research and interaction design, complemented by the ability to work across multiple different project types (communication, research, change, strategy).

Facilitation Expertise : Confidence in leading discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions that drive meaningful outcomes.
Experience : A solid foundation of experience in HCD (minimum 3 years), with demonstrated success in delivering impactful design outcomes with User Research.
User Researchers: The User Researcher will contribute to the priorities of the Human Centred Design (HCD) team in the program by leading/supporting key user research projects in support of the transition to the implementation of the Act.
You Will:
Manage user research scoping, planning and preparations (including development of research plans, discussion guides, etc.)
Complete desktop or secondary research.
Manage the research participant recruitment process, including identifying and engaging with businesses (noting research panel arrangement).
Conduct and facilitate research interviews.
Analyse and synthesise research data into actionable and practical insights and findings.
Develop and manage user research reports, artefacts and resources.
Share research insights and findings with various stakeholder groups and audiences using storytelling techniques.
Plan and coordinate stakeholder workshops and user research sessions.
Develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Support research operations activities and objectives.
Coordinate and provide support for program activities.
Desirable skills: Knowledge of working in HCD.
Working in an MDT.
Basic service design skills/knowledge (e.g.
journey mapping).
Skills in tools such as Miro, Figma and Dovetail.
Assistance in the creation of program documentation, including reports, presentations and talking points.
Co-Deliver User Experience (UX) Researchers: The co-deliver User Experience (UX) Researcher delivers usability testing of new services and products to ensure they can and will be used.
They deliver usability findings and recommendations to inform the delivery of pre-release services, products and systems which meet user needs.
You Will:
Manage user research scoping, planning and preparations (including development of research plans and discussion guides, and setting up testing platforms and tools, etc.)
Manage the research participant recruitment process, including identifying and engaging with businesses (noting research panel arrangement).
Conduct and facilitate usability testing (moderated and unmoderated) to gather insights on how users interact with a product or interface.
Analyse and synthesise user data and feedback to identify opportunities for improving design, usability and functionality.
Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to visualise design concepts and flows using testing tools and platforms.
Develop low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes for testing with users.
Develop and manage user research reports, artefacts and resources.
Share research insights and findings with various stakeholder groups and audiences using storytelling techniques.
Plan and coordinate stakeholder workshops and user research sessions.
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design vision is effectively implemented.
Support research operations activities and objectives.
Coordinate and provide support for program activities.
You MUST be an Australian Citizen and be willing to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance to be considered for these positions.
