We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join the Funds Management and Capital Partnering Finance team at the Stockland Sydney Head Office.
The Opportunity - About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for helping deliver the financial aspects of Stockland’s funds management and capital partnering business including the implementation and operationalisation of new capital partnerships and delivering ongoing financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
1. Support the Senior Manager – Funds Management and Capital Partnering to deliver and provide financial reporting and financial performance insights on funds and capital partnerships – monthly, quarterly and annually.
2. Collaborate with the wider Group Finance and business teams (including Funds Management, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Group Investments, Information Technology) to implement and embed new capital partnering opportunities, with a particular focus on finance processes and financial reporting.
3. Support Stockland’s compliance with fund and capital partnership deadlines, including to help deliver a materially clean audit of the fund financial statements.
4. Prepare Management Committee papers that enable senior leaders and directors to understand financial performance and key accounting issues as they relate to funds management and capital partnering.
5. Undertake or participate in ad hoc projects as required including supporting the Senior Manager – Funds Management and Capital Partnering, Group Investments, and other business units in identifying and delivering the most appropriate structures and contractual agreements in order to achieve Stockland’s and capital partner’s strategic growth objectives.
6. Enhance organisational effectiveness through continuous improvement and innovation.
7. Partner with key internal customers or stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships (e.g. Group Planning, Forecasting & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, and Funds Management teams).
About You
8. Appropriate tertiary qualification/s
9. CA / CPA accreditation
10. Extensive experience in funds management and capital partnering
11. Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and principles
12. Extensive financial accounting and property accounting experience
13. Demonstrated experience providing technical accounting advice to support commercial outcomes
14. Extensive experience in delivering high quality processes and reporting
15. Experience in leading a team (at least 1-2 direct reports)
16. Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills
