About The Role
Hudson Trade Centre Mitre 10 Leumeah are currently seeking an outgoing and knowledgeable individual to join their trade yard team. This is a generalist position with a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to: working in the trade yard, pick packing orders, truck loading and unloading, stock replenishment, and general cleaning.
The successful candidate will be offered a full-time position working a Monday to Friday roster. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, must be motivated, and be relied upon to work in a team and an unsupervised environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing physical work that requires heavy lifting
* Loading and unloading trucks
* Maintaining stock control to ensure accurate deliveries and adherence to company policy
* Ensuring the health and safety of all staff, customers, and contractors within the department
* Providing accurate deliveries on time, with a focus on exceptional customer service
* Serving customers in the trade yard, assisting with orders, and providing fast and efficient service
* Picking orders for delivery trucks
* Putting away stock, primarily timber and associated products
* Working effectively in a fast-paced environment, both as part of a team and individually
Requirements:
* A current forklift licence would be highly advantageous
* Demonstrating a strong customer focus
* Knowledge of timber and hardware products is beneficial
* Ability to work in a team environment and when unsupervised
* Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective prioritization of workload to meet deadlines
* Physical fitness to work on your feet all day
* A sense of urgency
* An eye for detail and a sense of urgency
* Availability to work across five days of the week, potentially including occasional Saturday mornings
