Job Title: Field Service Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our high-performing field service team in Toowoomba, QLD.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on engines and related components at the customer site with minimal direction.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Engage with Customers: You will engage customers in a courteous and professional manner, anticipating and ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
2. Maintain Service Vehicle and Tools: You will maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of the service vehicle and tools.
3. Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Policies: You will ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to site management and your supervisor.
4. Breakdown Response: You will be the first responder to breakdown events.
5. Fleet Maintenance: You will perform routine maintenance on the fleet.
6. Capturing Engine Data: You will capture engine data as required.
7. Fault Diagnostics: You will conduct fault diagnostics on engines and related components.
8. Diverse Range of Engine Repairs: You will perform a diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor.
9. Component Inspection and Replacement: You will inspect and replace components as required.
10. Engine Rebuilding and Reconditioning: You will rebuild and recondition engines.
11. Autonomous Work Environment: You will work autonomously and have the ability to work in a great team environment.
12. Collaboration with OEMs: You will work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
About You
* Heavy Duty Engine Experience: You will have a high level of heavy duty engine experience in the field or from the workshop looking to move into the field.
* Relevant Trade Qualification: You will hold a relevant trade qualification (Heavy Diesel preferred but not necessary).
* Strong Engine Diagnostic Experience: You will have strong engine diagnostic experience.
* Ability to Work Autonomously: You will have the ability to work autonomously/remotely for extended periods.
* Genuine Commitment to Workplace Safety: You will have a genuine commitment to workplace safety.
* Valid Driver's License: You will hold a valid driver's license.
* Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills: You will have good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

HV Trade qualifications are a requirement.
