Coordinator Fleet and Logistics - Based in GympieRemuneration: Annual salary commencing at $111,424, plus up to 13% superannuationClosing Date: Sunday 1st December 2024 at 11.00pm AESTRole OverviewThe Coordinator Fleet and Logistics is responsible for the delivery of Council's annual Fleet and Plant Replacement program and provide input to the Fleet and Plant long-term financial plan (10 Year Plan). The position provides quality technical advice to internal customers, aligning with financial sustainability metrics, relevant industry benchmarks, and best practices.The position will also coordinate and lead the logistics team and subcontractors in day-to-day operations, coordinate internal and external plant to achieve efficiencies and productivity and to monitor and report on key metrics.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate council’s fleet services and operationally manage fleet assets.Proven experience in asset acquisition and disposals including plant and equipment service and repair, scheduling, and prioritisation.Demonstrated success in supervising teams and coordinating activities.Demonstrated communication skills to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders, team members and external parties.Demonstrated general administrative experience, with intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) competency level.Technical specification experience on a variety of plant and fleet.Proven history in problem-solving with the ability to address operational problems and implement solutions.Knowledge of NHVR compliance.Queensland ‘HR’ Class driver’s license or higher.Construction Industry White/Blue card.Mechanical Trade Qualification.Ensure all Council Fleet, plant and equipment is “fit for purpose”, operates in a safe and effective manner, and meets all legislative requirements.Manage the end-to-end fleet and plant acquisition and disposal program.Undertake cost analysis, asset utilisation, current market rates and trends in liaison with Manager Fleet & Logistics to achieve best financial outcomes for Council while achieving required outputs.Coordinate internal and external plant requirements.Manage the procurement and contractual arrangements for hired plant, and fuel (T140 and T144 contracts).Accountable for NHVR Compliance.Ensure fleet and plant is refueled as required in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.Investigate and report on incidents related to the activities of the unit and preparation of reports for internal and external plant.Analysis of Cost and utilisation, productivities, current market rates and trends to achieve best financial outcomes for Council.Lead and develop relevant skillsets within the Fleet and Logistics team.Provide input to and implement Council's Capital Fleet Replacement Program.Manage and maintain a Fleet Management System that ensures all plant and fleet has a recorded whole of life history.Develop and maintain Fleet and Plant specifications to ensure assets meet council's needs and provide value for money.Supervise the officer Fleet and Logistics and coordinate all functions relevant to procurement, disposal and management of Council's fleet and plant assets.Manage all planning functions in collaboration with the Supervisor Fleet and Logistics.Who to ContactFor information regarding the requirements of this role, please contact Council's Manager Fleet and Depot Operations, Gordon Robertson via email gordon.robertson@gympie.qld.gov.auOur ValuesAccountabilityCommunicationCustomer Service FocusedIntegrityTeamwork and CollaborationOur ProcessSuccessful applicants will be required to undertake various checks such as skills, qualifications, reference, medical and national police.Keen to apply? - Simply head to Council's website and follow the "Careers at Council" link to submit your online application: www.gympie.qld.gov.auApplications close on Sunday 1st December 2024 at 11.00pm AEST.
