We are looking for a passionate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) advisor to help enhance our safety practices and ensure all requirements are met.This is an office-based role, with periodic travel to our construction sites and display homes.
This role also emphasizes the hands-on application and ongoing management of BuildPass to enhance safety, streamline processes, and improve worker well-being.ResponsibilitiesProviding OHS advice and support to the project team.Utilize Health & Safety features to manage and streamline processes such as emergency evacuations, safety inspections, inductions, and incident reporting, ensuring real-time updates and compliance with regulations.Participate and assist in audit and inspection processes and promote the safety culture and practices both internally and externally with contractors.Oversee and maintain critical safety documentation within required software like BuildPass, including permits, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), and insurance records.Implement geofencing capabilities to monitor worker movements and ensure adherence to restricted areas and safety zones.Train construction teams on the effective use of modules like BuildPass and support the integration into broader site management workflows, ensuring seamless communication, documentation, and quality assurance across all teams.Leverage data and insights for incident analysis, defect management, and corrective action planning to prevent future risks.Keep updated with all OHS-related legislation and regulations.Skills and ExperiencesA minimum of 5 years experience in an OHS or work safety position within the construction industry is required.Demonstrated proficiency in risk management and safe work practices.Ideally, you hold a degree/tertiary qualification in OHS or work safety or related fields.Strong knowledge and familiarity with relevant health and safety compliance.Excellent communication skills.
