Schedule Full-time Position38-hour week (Monday – Friday)Salary is negotiable based on knowledge and experience The Position Accounts Payable Officer assists the finance department in entering data into LAI's business management system and following up on purchase orders entered into the system. Key responsibilities of this challenging & rewarding role include: Monitor accounts payable inbox for incoming invoices and statements;Respond to account inquiries in a timely manner;Data entry of invoices accurately and in a timely manner;Monitor supporting payment documentation for completeness and accuracy of creditor details;Undertake vendor account reconciliations;Ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices, including resolving discrepancies; Schedule and prepare creditor payment runs; Credit card reconciliation and receipt; andProcess bank transactions and reconcile statements. Along with being reliable and trustworthy, it is essential that you have the following skills. Nationally recognised certificate in business admin or accounting, or equivalent skills and experience;Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;Accounts payable experience in a multi-site national operation;ABM experience (desirable, not required);Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel & Outlook;Ability to priorities and cope under pressure;Experience in entering high volumes of data;Proven ability to identify errors and resolve discrepancies; andWell organised with the ability to priorities work.
