Sydney Investment Banking Contract or Temporary Our client is a leading Investment Bank, dedicated to providing our clients the finest products, and services to help them achieve even the most challenging goals. They are seeking an experienced HR professional with between 1-2 years prior experience to join their HR division for a 12 month maternity leave contract. Ideal candidates will be coming from another leading Bank, Fund Manager or Professional Services firm (Accounting, Legal, Financial Services) with between 1-3 years prior HR experience, attaining ideally tertiary studies in Human Resources. Key Accountabilities Own all HR Information System activities and transactions (Workday) in partnership with the HR Business Partners in relation to employee cyclical activities, including but not limited to new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Providing support for the Parental Leave, Flexible Work Arrangement, Termination, Onboarding, and Ergonomic Assessment processes. Assist the HR Business Partners with generalist HR responsibilities, including however not limited to: Compensation review Performance Management Employment relations issues Succession planning Promotion cycle Provide support to the Head of Human Resources Run employee inductions and own update of content HR Tracker Management Lead the Workplace Gender Equality Agency project/submission Carry out monthly HR audits and subsequent tasks General Office Administration- stationary orders, scanning, archiving, and uploading of documents to relevant HR Systems Process expenses Ad hoc HR project work, including HR Governance and ensuring templates are in line with legislative requirements Attend quarterly Workplace Health & Safety committee meetings Mailbox management- employee query management and assisting employees with HR and policy related queries General team co-ordination, including preparation of ad hoc letters HR Process Improvement Run and participate in HR projects Qualifications / Experience: Ideally 1 – 3 years’ experience in Human Resources from professional services firm – banking, legal, accounting. Preferably has tertiary studies in Human Resources High level of competence on various technology software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Team Expert of HR systems/databases (Workday preferable not essential) Personal Attributes: Analytical approach and attention to detail Ability to work to firm deadlines and effectively prioritise workload Effective communication skills, verbal and written Good project management and problem-solving skills Client-focused and flexible approach Works collaboratively to achieve a desired outcome
