XS Espresso is a place to get a morning coffee fix, satisfy the late-night dessert cravings and everything in between. When dining at XS, there will be an excess if decadent desserts outrageous milkshakes brunch classics and hybrid dishes. The locals and customers are always on the edge of their chair waiting for the newest dishes to come out of the XS kitchen. Their menu includes a range of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert with each category holding a variety of unique and classic dishes that never fail to impress the locals. XS Espresso’s popularity has enormously grown throughout the years along with their loyal customer base and it keeps growing every day, so they require an additional chef to assist in handling this growing pressure.
Duties:
- Coordinate and plan menus with Chefs and other kitchen staff
- Oversee, coordinate, and organize special functions and large bookings
- Planning the purchase and pricing of goods in accordance with budget- Keeping records of stock levels and financial transactions for the restaurant
- Ensure dining, restaurant and kitchen spaces adhere to health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
- Communicating with customers to receive feedback about their dining experience and improve customer experience
- Promote the restaurant brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- take reservations, greet guests and, assist in taking orders
Requirements-
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications and requirements.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing a restaurant and working in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during busy dining periods in the restaurant- Organisation and time management skills are essential to the overall operations of the restaurant
- Proficient management and leadership skills
- Conflict and dispute resolution skills encouraged
