Registered Nurse (Gr2) - Residential Eating Disorders
Job Summary:
We are seeking a registered nurse to play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey within a residential eating disorders program.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented nursing care.
* To conduct comprehensive risk and mental state assessments, collaboratively developing care plans that align with participants' goals.
* To deliver evidence-informed support tailored to the unique needs of people experiencing eating disorders.
About Us:
Ngamai Wilam is a newly built 12-bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale, set to open in May 2025. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government, this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Health.
About You:
* You will have post-registration experience and the skills to provide person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented nursing care.
* You will be a compassionate and team-focused clinician who is adaptable, proactive, and committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that upholds dignity, choice, and self-determination.
* You will possess well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants, families, chosen supports, and the broader multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
* Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
* Demonstrated interest and/or experience in eating disorders.
* Australian working rights.
* Current Victorian Driver License, Working with Children Check, and Background Check.
