Position summary Join our dynamic team as a Structural Engineer Level II, where you'll leverage your expertise in structural engineering to drive innovative solutions for brownfield projects. In this role, you'll manage and execute detailed engineering and drafting, oversee project controls, and engage in procurement and contracts. Your responsibilities will include designing and documenting steel and concrete structures, performing structural integrity checks, and preparing design calculations for various elements such as pipe supports and concrete slabs. You'll also participate in site inspections, vendor management, and multidisciplinary scope coordination. About the role Manage and deliver technical engineering deliverables that meet statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget. Design and document elements related to steel and concrete structures, including pipe supports, cable ladder supports, equipment footings, and concrete slabs. Prepare structural design calculations for brownfield works and modify steelwork in existing structures. Conduct integrity checks of existing structures and attend site inspections. Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow checking procedures. Identify changes to the lead structural engineer as per project change management processes. Gather data from multiple sources to prepare engineering studies, analyses, and calculations. Support technical development of solutions and create final documentation for project deliverables. Coordinate multidisciplinary scopes and present designs in review meetings. Prepare material requisitions and Scope of Works, and participate in bid clarifications and evaluations. About the candidate Bachelor of Structural/Civil Engineering degree with relevant experience in structural engineering design in brownfield mining and/or oil & gas industry. Familiarity with Australian design codes including AS3600, AS4100, and AS1170. Experience in performing site inspections is advantageous. Ability to undertake short-term travel to site. Keen attitude to learn new design tools and project delivery modes. Experience working in a team with a diverse ground and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Highly driven with a focus on delivery and service. Sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of Woodside standards and systems is desirable but not essential. Agility in working with multiple platforms and environments, including the use of the 365 suite and various collaboration tools. Competency in Spacegass. Skills in the design of pipe supports, concrete slab design, and integrity checks of structures. Experience in multidisciplinary scope coordination and vendor management. Strong project management, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
