Base Salary + Superannuation + Variable BonusAn organization with a current relevant position in the Australian renewable energy market and with clear and compelling growth targets:Identify appropriate sites for greenfield renewable project development mainly in NSW, QLD, WA and VIC, according to a combination of given conditions such as good wind or solar resource, availability of land, absence of transmission network constraints, environment, planning, etc.Knowledge and demonstrable experience in origination and development of utility-scale wind, solar and BESS projects.Engage with different stakeholders (advisors, developers, consultants…) which might help in the project site identification.Engagement with host landowners to negotiate Options to Lease/Options to Purchase for land required/identified for the projects.Provide support during the Planning & Development Process of selected projects, involving managing specialised subconsultants to prepare Environmental Assessments and other studies supporting Planning/Development Applications for these.Regular contact with decision-making Authorities including State Planning Departments, Councils, Road Authorities, etc., to facilitate and speed up the obtention of Planning Approvals and Construction Approvals for the renewable projects in the portfolio.Manage tasks derived from land contracts, and negotiation of Land Contract Variations/Extensions or new contracts, with the support of external legal advisors.Follow up and engagement in Community related activities and initiatives related to the wind farms/solar farms/battery projects.Management of subconsultants, advisors and services providers, including, but not limited to, preparation of scope of works, request for proposals, assessments and selection, according to internal procedures.Support in the processes of potential acquisitions of projects under development, fit for GPG strategy for growth in Australia, participating in their identification, evaluation, due diligence, etc.SKILLS & EXPERIENCEGood interpersonal skills.Proven track record in the Renewable Energy Industry.Availability to travel interstate, sometimes at short notice.Proven understanding of Planning processes and requirements in NSW, QLD, WA and VIC, to obtain the required Planning Permits/Development Approvals for renewable energy Projects.Proven understanding of Grid Connection processes for new renewable projects.Desirable an Electrical Engineer, Planner or Renewable Energy Resource Specialist with previous experience (at least 2 years) in renewable energy projects development.Proactivity and independency to make decisions and to be able to influence stakeholders.Willingness to 'make things happen' in a short period of time and sometimes under pressure and under uncertainty conditions.Willingness to continuously follow up with sub consultants to make sure that contractual deadlines are met.Global Power Generation AustraliaGPGA is the Australian majority-owned subsidiary of Global Power Generation (GPG) which is the international power generation arm of the Spanish Naturgy Energy Group.GPGA was created to bring to life a portfolio of projects ensuring sustainable sources of energy, developing rural communities, spreading state-of-the-art renewable technologies, and helping to prevent weather changes resulting from greenhouse gas emissions.Global Power Generation Pty Ltd plays a significant role in Australia's renewable energy sector, with a focus on developing wind energy projects.
