Full time, 3 years fixed term, with potential to extend based on funding.Located on the Camperdown Campus at the School of Chemistry Opportunity to play a key role in a newly established ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre (ITTC) involving three universities, ANSTO and numerous industrial partners Base Salary, Level A $105,314 - $116,679 p.a + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Chemistry) who will be expected to contribute to the research and teaching efforts of the ARC-funded Industrial Transformation Training Centre (ITTC) for the Development of Advanced Radiochemical Technologies.You will work closely with Professor Louis Rendina (ITTC Deputy Director and Node Leader), two other University of Sydney Academics (Professor Elizabeth New and Professor Peter Rutledge), and across Nodes with 2 other ITTC Research Associates in research activities related to the development of novel radionuclide technologies.The Postdoctoral Research Associate (Chemistry) will engage in novel chemical research exploiting molecular incorporation of radioactive elements, stable chelation of metal radionuclides, and bioconjugation methodologies to deliver technological advances to radiopharmaceutical science.Your key responsibilities will be to: undertake research in synthetic organic/inorganic chemistry directed towards radiolabelling supervise and train ARC ITTC PhD students at the University of Sydney and, when required, at ANSTO (Lucas Heights, NSW) and HZDR (Dresden, Germany) manage the synthetic chemistry laboratory, including the oversight of lab instrumentation write reports and prepare research manuscripts for publication, and participate at workshops and conferences collaborate with other ITTC Research Associates in the development and delivery of training modules for PhD students contribute to the development and delivery of bespoke training in advanced radiochemical technologies to Honours and PhD students and undertake laboratory management duties create new networks and opportunities for the Node.About you The University values courage and creativity;
