Hotel Talent is delighted to announce a position as a Chef de Partie to join a renowned kitchen team in a 4* Hotel. The ideal candidate will aim to contribute to the production of the highest possible food quality in the delegated section, and to co-ordinate and be responsible for staff in the delegated section. All production is carried out in line with appropriate food portion control, the departmental business plan, and service concepts.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper plate presentation.
2. Sets up for lunch and dinner by ensuring proper amounts are in place for forecasted covers, special functions, and all reservations.
3. Orders adequate supplies for own section, and sets up “mis-en-place” for section.
4. Works closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards are met and followed.
5. Follows and adheres to proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
6. Confers closely with the Sous Chef and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position, to be ready to fill in whenever required.
7. Knows how to follow applicable laws regarding food safety and sanitation.
8. Performs additional ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience preferably at a similar level or at Demi Chef de Partie level.
2. Must be passionate about food and service.
3. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent command of the English language.
5. Must have HACCP knowledge & experience.
