The Construction business is currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our high performing, commercially focussed, Portfolio Performance & Governance (PPG) team on a 12-month, fixed term contract at our global head office in Barangaroo.
Reporting to the Head of Finance - Portfolio Performance & International Construction, you will also be a key support for the General Manager Finance – Construction Asia (based in Malaysia). The purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate all aspects of financial and management accounting activities for the construction business in Singapore and Malaysia, overseeing the monthly close process and the preparation of other necessary accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient and informed reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.
Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
Maintaining and reviewing the GL. This includes monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting and preparation of various reporting packs in accordance with corporate and legislative deadlines.
Assisting Project Commercial teams to prepare and update Project cost forecasts, attend project reviews (virtually) and ensure project cost forecasts are accurately reflected in all reporting.
Cashflow management - ensure regular review of debtors & creditors and follow up with project commercial teams for overdue payments.
Intercompany recharges – monthly/timely review of intercompany balances and ensure intercompany bills are raised on time.
Maintaining employee cost information and ensuring all projects reflect accurate people cost.
Assisting the General Manager of Finance, Asia with preparation of Operational / Business plan, including coordination of various function and business stakeholders.
Providing finance and accounting support for key operational projects and objectives, including business plans, new business, forecasting and analysis and tax initiatives.
Establishing strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (including offshore finance teams) to increase networks and build trust.
Contributing to the successful execution of finance improvement initiatives.
You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post-tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualifications with at least 3-5 years of experience in commercial analytics, project insights, data analytics, management reporting or a related field.
Your effective communication and problem-solving will be complemented by your ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing commercial environment working both autonomously and as part of a team. In addition, you will be developing strong excel skills, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, and possess the ability to adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations and assist others in adapting to change.
