The Role
The Head of Operations will work with the Parting Stone International team based in the US to prepare the initial PSA site in Australia, based in Morisset (Central Coast NSW) for launch. Preparations include (but are not limited to) hiring 1 - 2 production team members, drafting order flow and logistics, testing machines and equipment, fulfilling test orders to ensure quality control, and establishing a company culture of empathy, gratitude, curiosity, and precision.
Once the facility is operational, the Head of Operations responsibilities will transition from startup tasks to leading and managing the overall day to day business operations. Management duties include scheduling, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching direct reports and monthly performance reporting into the PSA Board. The Head of Operations creates and maintains goals and deliverables for the team, and is accountable for hitting company output, efficiency, and budget goals. The position will also forecast hiring, equipment, and operational needs and communicate those needs to the Vice President of Production.
Working in collaboration with the Vice President of Production - PSI, the role will also be heavily involved in developing an efficient and stable framework of processes, systems and approaches for the proactive management of the entire PSA business.
It will have responsibility for the accurate and efficient reporting of PSA business financial and non-financial performance measures into the Vice President of Production - PSI and preparing a regular performance report to be shared with the PSA Board.
The role has a strong emphasis on internal and external partnerships. In line with values of Parting Stone International and Parting Stone Australia, it is expected the incumbent will conduct transactions in a documented, standard, and professional manner.

* Several years of experience in an operational, managerial or leadership role.
* Demonstrated operational management capability and understanding of logistics in a medium sized customer service business including asset management and procurement.
* Prior experience coaching and developing sales leaders to achieve sales revenue targets.
* Demonstrated understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental risks.
* Leadership and management experience in a service-driven organization.
* Experience leading and managing the achievement of financial performance targets.
* Experience developing and maintaining local business relationships.
* Experience in working in a startup environment.
* Successfully delivered large initiatives.
* Tertiary Qualifications in business or related discipline.
* Computer literacy and experience with an ERP, MRP, or related manufacturing management software.
* The ideal candidate possesses an affiliative or coaching leadership style.
* Emotional intelligence and ability to resolve nuanced interpersonal conflicts.
* Experience with team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
