Nepean Private, where doing what you love means more Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith.The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics.It is an exciting time for Nepean Private Hospital.We have invested in our future with an exciting $38 M redevelopment which has seen our Hospital grow to meet the needs of our growing community with 4 new operating theatres, purpose built pre-admission area, new sterilising department, new foyer and retail space, new consulting suites, refurbished main entry and a new car park.As a Registered Nurse – medical ward, ICU/CCU and cardiology your responsibilities will include: Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs Act as a role model for Safe Practice Deliver education and support to families and patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care Minimum 3 years' experience in an ICU, Coronary Care or Cardiology environment Current Authority to Work in Australia Valid NSW Working with Children check Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA Post Graduate Certificate in ICU/CCU (or working towards) Advanced Life Support Certificate (or working towards) Knowledge in underwater sealed drains, haemodynamic monitoring and inotrope support an advantage Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused Why Healthscope?
