Parental leave contract Patient & Study Management: Plan and coordinate study visits, conduct face-to-face assessments, handle finances, and prepare biological specimens.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with trial sponsors and the Principal Investigator to ensure protocol adherence and participant safety.
The Opportunity: The Research Nurse Coordinator role at the Melbourne Children's focuses on pharmaceutical industry sponsored Clinical Trials investigating the safety and efficacy of prescription drugs and medications for children. These trials span various disorders and rare diseases in therapeutic areas such as neurology, rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, metabolic medicine, haematology, and nephrology.
Your Responsibilities Include: Leading coordination and backup of several commercially sponsored trials working with different Principal Investigators.Ensuring trials are conducted to the highest ethical and safety standards according to ICH-GCP, local regulations, and institutional policies.Developing and maintaining trusting relationships with study participants and families.Identifying and communicating trial-related issues to the sponsor, Investigator/s, and study team, contributing to resolution strategies.Administering Investigational Product according to trial Protocol, Investigator Brochure, and RCH clinical practice guidelines.Preparing and maintaining source documents and site files, ensuring accurate data collection and data entry in accordance with GCP and agreed sponsor timelines.Supporting colleagues and liaising with investigators, sponsors, CROs, supporting departments, HREC, and fellow research nurse coordinators.What We Need From You: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Applicable Nursing Registration – Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Strong skills in planning, organising, and carrying out projects with attention to detail and efficiency.(Desired) Paediatric Nursing experience.(Desired) Pharmaceutical industry sponsored clinical trial coordination experience.What's in it for you?
