The Canberra Region Medical Education Council (CRMEC) is a Ministerial Management Council established by the Minister for Health. The CRMEC performs accreditation of the prevocational training program within the ACT region and provides expertise on education, training and welfare for junior doctors. The CRMEC is seeking a personal assistant/education officer. Under broad direction this position will play an important role in providing administrative and education support to the CRMEC. This position undertakes Secretariat responsibilities for CRMEC committees and accreditation survey teams, the responsibility includes but is not limited to internal financial management and developing education resources. While this is a flexible work role, at times you will be required to work outside regular business hours to support committee meetings, and at times you will be required to attend hospitals in the ACT training region during non-flexible hours in order to support the accreditation role of CRMEC. To be successful in this role you will have a high level of attention to detail, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, sound communication skills, web design and management skills, ability to manage deadlines and ability to coordinate a variety of tasks. You will understand the education needs of junior doctors, the national Prevocational Medical Training Framework and have ability to contribute to development of resources to support these needs.
