Customer Assist Loss Recoveries Officer

We're looking for a Customer Service Superstar to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for helping us recover payments on overdue accounts. You'll use a variety of tools and techniques to track down customers and collect payments. You'll also be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
2. Conduct outbound/inbound telephone-based collection/recovery activity on post charge-off accounts.
3. Obtain promises to pay from post charge-off accounts by setting and reviewing action dates
4. Make realistic payment plans with customers using negotiation skills
5. Determine appropriate recovery steps to establish a relationship with the customer.
6. Provide customers with solutions and tools to assist with paying their accounts
7. Skip trace customers with no contact details or unsuccessful contact attempts.
8. Employ skip trace tools and databases for accurate and up-to-date information
9. Make sound decisions about the next step in the legal process if other avenues are exhausted.
10. Rmend repossession or legal action where required and within policy.
11. Assess a customer's ie and expenditure to determine their ability to pay.
12. Negotiate debt settlement payment plans, seeking to maximise net recovery.
13. Perform administration duties, including responding to emails and external mail within required timeframes.
14. Work in a blended role where related admin work ispleted within required NCCP timeframes.
15. Record all customer expressions of dissatisfaction in Accord
Ideally, we're looking for the following:
Experience & Knowledge
16. Previous Collections/Recoveries experience is a nice to have.
17. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Debt Collection Guidelines, privacy legislation etc.
18. Experience dealing with difficult customers and negotiating.
19. Sound knowledge of debt recovery, including legal processes
20. Strong negotiation skills
21. Excellentmunication skills (both verbal and written)
22. Good decision-making ability
23. Ability to work autonomously and execute on targets in apliant environment
Technical Knowledge
24. Vision Plus Host System (desirable)
25. Mercantile Host System (desirable)
26. Use of web base skip trace tools / databases.
