Stores and Logistics Officer - ConsumablesWe’re pleased to invite applications for the position of Stores and Logistics Officer - Consumables, to join our Supply Support Team.Based in Bundamba, Queensland and reporting to the Support Supply Chain Manager, you will support the Deployable Health Centre in managing consumables and other stock in accordance with Saab procedures and relevant industry standards.In addition, you’ll organise deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations.We work in a fast-paced, demanding, challenging as well as time sensitive environment; we’re diverse, global, resilient, adaptable and agile, therefore the ability to solve problems is critical.This position also offers Flexible working options and a 9 Day Fortnight.As part of your specific responsibilities, you will:Operate material handling equipment such as Forklifts (High Reach & Counterbalance) and pallet jacks.Undertake receipt and despatch duties.Manage Medical Consumable demands for internal and external requirements.Undertake accurate equipment auditing.Maintain and update ERP databases and documentation pertaining to receipt inspection and deliveries.Liaise with external freight and customs clearance companies to ensure delivery schedules and budgets are met.Comply with legislation and Company policies.General Warehouse duties including but not limited to; stocktaking, unloading/loading shipments, filing etc.About youYour skills and experience will include:Over 5 years Logistic Support, Warehousing & Supply Chain Experience.Computer proficiency in using ERP software and Microsoft Office.Understanding of quality control processes and Work Health Safety (WHS) practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000 practices.Previous experience in a Defence environment – Highly desirable.Hold a current Forklift Licence.As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.Please note:This role is being offered on an 18-month fixed-term basis.Culture and benefitsWe employ over 1000 Australians and are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and enriching the employee experience.By joining Saab, you’ll be a part of a collaborative and supportive organisation, where your professional growth and work-life balance are emphasised.
