Who will you be working with? The role reports to the Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assemble, inspect and test components in accordance with documented assembly, inspection and test process documents.
2. Perform assembly under the instruction of the Manufacturing Engineer and/or Production Manager.
3. Follow safe systems of work including adherence to JSA's, cardinal rules, and completion of Take 5's.
4. Product PCBA and hardware assembly using available resources such as engineering drawings and assembly procedures.
5. Prototype PCBA and hardware assembly under instruction from Engineering staff, Production Supervisor or Manufacturing engineer.
6. Inspection and/or testing of PCB assemblies, hardware, and components against specifications.
7. Verification of critical components dimensions by measuring.
8. Adherence to the requirement of assembling certified intrinsically safe componentry.
9. Use of electrical test equipment to test final assembly performance to specification.
10. Accurate completion of Inspection and test documents to ensure critical quality data is recorded, evaluated, and verified against specifications.
11. Feedback any production or quality related issues to the Production Manager and/or Manufacturing Engineer.
12. Ensure component and sub-component traceability data is recorded in line with production record documents.
13. Cable assembly.
14. Product packaging and labelling ready for packing and dispatch by the warehouse department.
15. Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
16. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and advising the Production Supervisor where simple troubleshooting will not resolve the issue.
17. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
18. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
19. Assist in the development of assembly procedures as requested by the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing engineer.
20. Work with other team members as required or requested by the production supervisor to meet customer delivery dates.
21. Work to the production schedule as defined by the Production Supervisor and report any inability to achieve schedule requirements as soon as practically possible.
22. Comply and be actively involved with the company's HSEQ management system.
Experience:
1. 2-5 years' experience in a similar technician role.
2. Experience in electronics assembly and cable manufacture, inspection, and testing.
3. Experience in Basic Equipment Maintenance in line with equipment manuals and procedures.
4. Knowledge of AS3800 Overhaul & Repair procedures.
