The Role Reporting to the IT Services Manager, the IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional user support across the College. This position involves engaging with both students and staff through various channels, including telephone, face-to-face, and remote communication. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with educational technologies such as 3D printers, drones, AR headsets, and robotics. This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality support by troubleshooting and resolving issues across all College IT resources and systems. Manage user support systems, helpdesk tickets, inventory tracking, and external vendor/service provider job systems. Diagnose and perform minor hardware repairs and software configurations. Actively contribute to the planning, development, and maintenance of the College's IT infrastructure. Assist in coordinating and managing outsourced IT services to ensure seamless operations. Develop, test and deploy standard operating environments About you: Prior experience in an educational technology setting is highly valued. Proven ability to develop, manage, and administer specialised IT and related systems, including databases, web technologies, learning management systems (LMS), content management systems (CMS), and security systems. Relevant formal IT qualifications and/or experience in the field.
