The Standards and Integrity directorate, within the Professional Standards and Conduct Division delivers a range of integrated functions including the assessment of complaints, conducting disciplinary processes associated with alleged breaches of discipline by staff, and responding to critical incidents. The Directorate also delivers proactive professional learning packages related to misconduct, fraud, and corruption prevention.
The Department of Education is recruiting for exceptional leaders who will be accountable for overseeing high quality, professional and timely services relating to education information management, integrity and risk prevention and critical incident reviews.

The Roles
We are seeking to create a leadership talent pool to fill current and future vacancies within the Standards and Integrity directorate.
As the Principal Consultant Integrity Education, you will be responsible for:
7. leading a small team who tailor and deliver programs of work to strengthen and consolidate integrity systems to prevent or minimise the risk of fraud, corruption and other forms of misconduct across the Department.
8. developing and reviewing training systems, methodologies, and information with a focus on integrity education and corruption prevention.
9. developing a corporate integrity and prevention plan.
10. evaluating data, identify systemic themes and emerging integrity issues, and ensure the effective deployment of resources to develop relevant educational products.
11. project management of integrity prevention systems, tools, and initiatives.
As the Principal Consultant Reviews, you will be responsible for:
12. reviewing current structure, position function and priorities to develop an effective business model for future state.
13. building and fostering strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including the Ombudsman Western Australia.
14. undertaking research that aims to help prevent or reduce the likelihood of the death of children and young people.
15. making recommendations about legislation, policies, practices, and services with consideration to Western Australia’s public education system and operations at a central, regional and school level.
16. maintaining working relationships with senior management, staff across Department divisions, regions, networks, schools, State Government agencies and the wider community.
17. consulting and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to marshal professional expertise and harness information to promote integrity and administrative improvement.

24. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
