engineer related outcomes in multiple projects to meet commercial agreements with clients within budget.The position works within our engineer, science and drafting teams, and delivers services to project managers in all offices.The position may require occasional travel to work in-field and data collection.The position reports directly to the Operations Manager and to relevant project managers and the HSEQ officer in regard to project and task delivery.We are looking for a self-starting, motivated and eager person with a minimum 3 years work experience, wishing to work in a team to learn and contribute their knowledge.We encourage professional, self-development and industry involvement and support further studies.Duties for this position include:Tasks as detailed by Project Managers and Client Managers, and as delegated by the Operations Manager.Assist with project scoping, building project budgets and winning proposals.Work with 2D and 3D design of earthworks, concrete structures, roads, sewerage and drainage, reinforced concrete, steelwork and pipelines for the agricultural, food processing, industrial, and mining sectors.Participate in design reviews with the client on technical design, drafting issues and compliance requirements as appropriate.Procure project related items, within budget, as required.Undertake occasional field assessments, including overnight stays.Assist project managers with project completion following the business protocols.Positively liaise with, and maintain, cooperative relationships with clients, government agency staff, and peers.Learn, use and comply with our ISO 9001 systems.Formal Qualifications and Experience Required:Tertiary qualifications in one or more of the following areas: Environmental, Civil, or Agricultural Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related degree.A minimum of 3 years in an Australian professional, or technical, consultancy position in private industry, is preferred.Sound competency in computer skills using MS Office.Understanding technical drawings produced in AutoDesk's A.E.C.suite (Civil 3D, AutoCAD etc.).Understanding 3D design of earthworks, concrete structures, roads, sewerage and drainage, reinforced concrete, steelwork and pipelines for the agricultural, food processing, industrial, and mining sectors.Demonstrated experience in analytical and report writing.Demonstrated experience in related project tasks such as data analysis.Current Open driver's license (manual vehicle preferred)."White Card" or ability to obtain.First Aid certificate is preferred.Selection CriteriaThe candidate must respond to the following selection criteria:Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or related degree, and experience in a relevant area.Proven experience, in Australia, in private industry consultancy (2 years minimum).Rural background or experience working in Australian rural and regional areas.Proven ability to manage time and prioritise projects with competing interests.Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.A proactive self-starter, motivated, with the ability to self-manage but also to
