Are you a passionate and experienced mental health clinician with an interest in working with young people and first episode of psychosis?
About The Role
The Camperdown Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIPS) is a multidisciplinary community mental health team specialising in first episode psychosis. We work with young people with diagnosed psychotic disorders and offer care coordination for eligible consumers. Psychosis can cause acute distress and confusion in a young person, as well as for their family and friends, and professionals. EIPS aims to facilitate the early identification and treatment of psychosis and therefore reduce the disruption to the young person’s functioning and psychosocial development.
Role Purpose:
To provide a high-quality, early intervention care-coordination service to young people with complex needs including an understanding of current treatment approaches for people with emerging mental health problems, co-morbidity, and substance use problems. The role requires skills in the comprehensive assessment and management of mental health consumers, including individual and group interventions.
