About the role:
Our Mornington site, Lillian Martin is looking for an engaging and proactive Lifestyle Assistant to join the team. Supporting our Lifestyle Coordinator, the Lifestyle Assistant will help with the delivery of appropriate and varied lifestyle programs to enhance and support the individual needs of residents.
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will promote and assist our residents participate in meaningful activities whilst maintaining friendly and supportive professional relationships. You will be making a profound difference in the lives of our residents, enabling them to live their BEST life.
You will be responsible for:
* Participating in the development and delivery of lifestyle programs to our residents, ensuring residents are able to participate and enjoy the programs
* Assisting with assessments, review and the ongoing evaluation of residents' cultural, recreational and leisure needs and lifestyle interests
* Providing outstanding customer service while maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends
* Casual opportunity working various hours Monday - Friday
About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents and clients, to support them to live life to their potential.
This is the place for you if you:
* Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care
* Have a Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (desirable)
* Have the ability to drive a 10-seater bus (desirable)
* Have experience and knowledge in residential aged care with a commitment to high standards of care for residents and their families
* Are known for your caring and compassionate nature
* Have experience as a Personal Care Worker in Aged Care (highly regarded)
* Thrive in a team and also appreciate one-to-one interactions
* Possess a current Working with Vulnerable People card
* Have Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
* Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
* A current Working With Vulnerable People card/ Working With Children Check card
* Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
* Australian working rights
* Ability to pass a national police clearance
