Seeking an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to maintain a variety of equipment - ASAP start
Your new company
A state government department based in the Western Suburbs of Perth, are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Officer to join the Fleet and Building team as soon as possible. This role is being offered on an initial 3-month temporary contract with a possible extension, working full-time Monday to Friday hours. The hourly rate for this role will be offered at $45 per hour + superannuation.
Your new role
As the Mechanical Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for general maintenance, service and repairs of vehicles, fixed and mobile plant and ground equipment. Your duties will include:
* Undertakes plant and equipment condition reporting and inventory audits
* Oversee the backup generators servicing and load testing and plant & equipment maintenance
* Coordinating and liaising with manufacturers to drop off and pick up equipment as required
* Attends to work orders and job requests
* Identify and report on maintenance issues and risks
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
* Relevant mechanical trade qualification (essential)
* A manual driving licence (essential)
* Previous experience in machinery operation and maintenance
* Strong computer skills
* Excellent communication and strong customer service skills
* An excellent attitude and strong team player mindset
What you'll get in return
