About this opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a confident team player to join our team on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.Maintaining & Reporting container stock levelsEnsuring equipment release requirements are metArranging Empty & Laden Transport and executing company repositioning plansManaging & appraising depot vendor performance to ensure high-performance standards.Ensuring vendors implement FIFO, Reduce long idles & complete M&R casesCompleting Invoicing & Cost Reporting tasksCompleting offhire reports prior to vessel arrivalCoordinating Cargo and 3rd Party container damage claims and associated invoicingCoordinate with external authorities and service providers, such as; Partner lines, AMSA, DAWR, Port Authorities, Terminals & Depots etc.Work independently and assist the team in realizing goals and standards – share knowledge and best practices.Work collaboratively with internal OOCL departmentsComplete other tasks as delegated by Regional Operations Manager About you Our ideal candidate will embody our shared values of innovation and creating value, have exposure to the shipping industry as well as a passion and willingness to further develop their skill set under the guidance of the OOCL team.A minimum of 1 to 2 years' Shipping and Container control experience and a comprehensive knowledge of the shipping industry is a must.An organized and disciplined approach to prioritizing workload and schedules.Sound understanding of Microsoft suite, including ExcelConfident in learning new computer systems and internal procedures.Be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure.The successful candidate will also display excellent communication skills, ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organized, efficient and effective.Must have full working rights in Australia.
