The Role
The Retail Manager plays a key role in the financial performance of the shopping centre by leading a team that actively manages the retailer lifecycle and develops strong relationships with retailers.
The Responsibilities
1. Deliverables and outcomes Relationship management
2. Conduct retailer inductions and communications Undertake lease assignments and retailer negotiations
3. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships
4. Organise Cash flow and arrears management and meet arrears collection targets
5. Review work processes for areas of improvement Compliance to standards Conduct and meet targets set in budget and forecasting activities
6. Complete compliance and reporting requirements by set timeframes Demonstrate safe practices and adhere to the policies and standards
7. Actively manage training and development of direct reports
8. Monitor team performance and meet appraisal expectations as set by the business.
9. Assist in the overall management of the centre and centre-based employees as required.
The Ideal Candidate
10. Multi-year experience in the retail, property or associated industry Demonstrated knowledge in managing and collecting tenancy rents
11. High level of accuracy in the creation and interpretation of data
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
13. High level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite
14. High level of time management and prioritisation skills
