We're looking for a Payroll Officer to perform end-to-end payroll functions. You will be supporting the Payroll Manager with daily payroll activities and be the key point of contact for payroll enquiries.
Some of the ways you'll make a difference: Assist in preparing fortnightly payrolls for multiple sites across Victoria Maintain accurate staff employment records Update and maintain payroll records Process payroll related payments, Centrelink requests, ABS surveys and information requests Manage and respond to payroll service desk queries Assist with end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing Reconcile month-end General Ledger posting Assist with relevant projects as required To help you achieve this, ideally you'll have: Tertiary qualifications in a related field or relevant experience Relevant experience working in a similar role in a high-volume and fast-paced environment Demonstrated knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation Relevant experience working on Awards, Enterprise Agreements and contracts of employment in the aged care and community services industries Experience and understanding of taxation and/or superannuation legislation Expertise in using different payroll systems (Technology One experience desirable) High attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively Excellent analytical and numerical skills Why work with us?
