What will this role achieve? Reporting to the VP Finance Global FP&A and Performance Management, this role partners with the Global Functions on central costs and is a key member of the Group FP&A team in running FP&A processes and initiatives.
The role holder will support senior stakeholders in Head Office functions on a range of areas pertaining to Central Costs including the preparation of quarterly forecasts / budgets, monthly performance reporting and variance analysis.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, in particular HR, and liaise with the Global Function leads in controlling and budgeting their respective cost base. The role will be responsible for guiding the offshore finance function, helping develop Cost Centre Managers' financial awareness & providing guidance for correct accounting. A drive for continuous improvement is needed to adapt and to develop the processes and practices of the pladis HQ cost reporting.
Manage the preparation of pladis HQ Global SG&A cost budgets, including consolidation of data and preparation of supporting analysis packs to aid reviews. Ensure that budget plans are formulated on a ZBB financial basis to justify spend and aid discussions. Timely production of monthly accounts and management of ad-hoc accruals, ensuring compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures and highlighting areas of concern as appropriate to enable corrective action. Monthly review of pladis HQ SG&A cost performance against agreed budgets, flagging risks and opportunities early to ensure spend stays on track, and that deviations are approved / understood. Preparation of monthly reporting pack to highlight major variances and key cost drivers, for submission to CFO / CHRO, as well as functional leads. Business partner with pladis HQ cost centre managers, supporting them in cost management and mentor on financial matters. Complete re-forecasting processes as required to project the cost outturn for the year. Supervision and support of the offshore team, including acting as the first point of contact for queries relating to pladis HQ. Liaison with External Audit Team as required. Support balance sheet reconciliation reviews as required.
