The Opportunity
This role will see you working as a member of the Sterilising Services team to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment for our busy theatre department. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently within a small team and manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
* Maintain compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
* Maintain your competency standards in all sterilisation and decontamination processes.
* Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
* Collaborate with Theatre & other CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.
Skills and Experience
* Enrolment in or completion of Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services is desirable
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sterilising Services
* A comprehensive knowledge of CSSD processes and tasks
* An understanding of relevant standards and AS5369 requirements
* Experience in coordinating loan sets would be highly regarded
* Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective teamwork
