* A minimum of five years’ experience working in a lab, especially sample analysis and reporting functionality.
* Experience of working in a supervisory capacity, including managing resource capabilities.
* Experience in managing staff with multi-disciplinary roles and responsibilities.
* Experience in contract management and service delivery with external stakeholders.
* Experience in emergency incidence responses, government structures and processes.
* Advanced communication and administrative skills.
* Provides assistance with the collation and routine analysis of diagnostic results.
* Provides laboratory expertise into strategic planning and other planning processes.
* Develops and maintains effective relationships with relevant staff members.
* Assists with the training of casual technical staff as required.
* Contributes to the development and implementation of the PSHB response.
* Undertakes emergency response duties as required.
* Knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific standards, analytical and reporting procedures.
* Experience in contract management and service delivery.
* Demonstrable ability to think strategically.
* Experience in multi-disciplinary staff management.
* Bachelor degree in relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
