The Planning and Land Services group in the Department of Transport and Planning brings together land, property, statutory planning, building and heritage capability to deliver whole of state services. The Group’s focus is to provide services in land administration, property information and facilitating the better use of government owned land. The Planning and Land Services group also: ensures secure and accurate registration services for property, land and water share transactions; provides specialist transport property services including planning, acquisition and management of land and building assets; and manages the state's planning, building and heritage systems to shape the places and communities of Victoria. About the Role Reporting to the Principal Advisor, the Senior Advisor has a varied and challenging work program directed by the key strategic priorities and imperatives facing the Deputy Secretary and the Planning and Land Services Group. The position is responsible for supporting the Principal Advisor by providing strategic advice, leading and managing a broad range of projects and programs of work, preparing messaging, briefings, reports and presentations, coordinating and reviewing key documents, having oversight on Group initiatives as well as identifying issues and mitigating risks to ensure business outcomes are achieved and agreed deliverables are met. From time to time the role will lead projects or programs of work on behalf of the Deputy Secretary which are generally specialised and complex or cross business or organisational projects.
