ESTIMATOR About the role As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the financial planning and project feasibility of high-end residential builds. Your expertise will ensure accurate cost forecasting, supplier negotiations, and bid preparation, helping maintain the company's competitive edge in the luxury building sector. You will be responsible for end-to-end cost estimation, from initial project analysis to submission and handover to the project execution team. Your role will involve close collaboration with architects, builders, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project progression while upholding the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and client satisfaction. Duties include Accurately estimate total project costs, including materials, labour, equipment, and utilities for high-end residential projects. Source and liaise with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to obtain competitive pricing. Prepare detailed BOQs, cost breakdowns, and project budgets. Manage pre-qualification and bid submission processes within tight deadlines. Conduct regular cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering recommendations. Track and report on project estimates, tenders, and bid outcomes. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution. Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and luxury building innovations to maintain industry competitiveness. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, as well as company policies. To be considered for these positions, you must be able to provide the following: 2 years of experience in estimating, preferably in luxury residential construction. Strong knowledge of high-end building materials, finishes, and supplier networks. Proficiency in estimating software Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask across multiple tenders. Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills. A high level of financial literacy and commercial acumen. Trade or tertiary qualifications in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Project Management (preferred).
