This position supports the ETF with the efficient organisation, management and operation of trials. Key duties include trials administration and operation management, records management, security officer functions and sub-unit administration. This position may require after-hours availability and flexibility in working hours to accommodate trials and emergencies.The role will:Serve as a primary POC for the ETF, liaising with contractors, stakeholders and external agenciesCoordinate ETF administration and trials functionsManage ETF communications, including radio communications and notifications to relevant parties as requiredProvide administrative support to ETF staff and managementAssist in the creation and maintenance of corporate task documentation and administrationEnsure all documentation for trials and range tasks is accurate, signed, and stored correctlyEffectively coordinate maintenance schedules in alignment with work requirements.About our TeamThe ETF conducts non-destructive test and evaluation trials on platforms explosives, munitions and other equipment across a range of environmental specialties. These specialties include climatic (simulated weather), radiographic (x-ray) and shock and vibration (shake and rattle). The ETF supports guided weapon and explosive ordnance (GWEO) test and evaluation activities. The ETF has capabilities enabling the climatic, non-destructive, vibration and mechanical testing of items, and other elements for artificial aging of Defence explosive ordnance. The JPEU Engineering team also provide direct support to the ETF. ETF personnel work in small teams to deliver quality outcomes for Defence and its customers. The team works with exciting technology that aids in the provision of test outcomes, such as state of the art conditioning chambers (heating / cooling), vibration shakers and radiographic capabilities.
